The English Language teacher will deeply understand current research-based pedagogies and have a proven ability to apply them to an English Language curriculum. The English Language teacher will design rigorous and robust curriculum that embeds cognitive load theory, explicit instruction, and the Science of Learning.
Your primary responsibility will be to construct and deliver a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum that both inspires and challenges students to enhance their skills fostering an appreciation for the English language. The successful candidate will teach Senior English Language (Years 11 and 12) and may also contribute to English classes in other year levels. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students, while fostering critical thinking and strong communication skills. This position plays a key role in preparing students for the rigors of VCE English Language and supporting them in achieving their best academic outcomes. As directed by the Head of Department, you will create, design, develop, and implement educational curriculum that is rigorous, inclusive, and engaging.
Your work will ensure that the curriculum not only meets educational standards but also fosters a stimulating learning environment that encourages all students to achieve their fullest potential. You will focus on crafting educational experiences that are enjoyable and impactful, promoting intellectual growth and fostering a love of learning, while also addressing the diverse needs of all students to ensure optimal educational outcomes.
