About the role
The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, efficient, and effective preparation of financial and management reports for the following entities: Engineers Australia (EA) & Engineering Education Australia Pty Ltd (EEA). This is an exciting time to join the EA Finance team as we undergo a major digital transformation and move to Microsoft D365 in 2025. This role is initially a 12-month fixed term opportunity.

In this role you will:
Oversee month-end processes for EEA, including reconciliations, management reports, and Business Activity Statements. Support EEA business areas with monthly forecasting. Coordinate EEA annual financial statements and assist with EA financial statements and audits. Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes for EEA, including developing models and preparing FBT returns. Provide training and support on accounting policies, financial reporting, and finance systems for EA and EEA. Assist with fortnightly payroll review and approvals. Coordinate monthly and annual payroll tax returns, annual workers' compensation returns, and annual group life insurance for the EA Group. Here's what we're looking for:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications, membership of CA/CPA/Overseas equivalent or progression towards is desirable; Practical financial accounting experience spanning at least two years and including experience with Microsoft D365; Self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines; Well-developed computing skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Demonstrated capacity to accept a high level of personal responsibility and willingness to undertake hands-on work whilst ensuring that tasks are completed in an effective and timely manner; Strong communicator with well-developed oral and written skills specifically with respect to the preparation of reports and procedures; Ability to work both independently and within a small team environment.
