About Your OpportunityFixed term temporary full-time, 76 hours per fortnight (commencing asap up to 30 June 2027).
Two positions available.
The Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic will undertake work on domestic, commercial and industrial Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning – Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems including planned preventive maintenance and minor works projects as required in the construction and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment that support the THHS facilitation of safe, effective and sustainable healthcare services.
Generous remuneration package value up to $100,064 p.a.
comprising:
Salary range of $71,088 to $87,702 p.a.
(HBEA10-HBEA-6)
Annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

RequirementsThe following mandatory qualifications and professional registration apply to this position:
Queensland trade certificate in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
Queensland Restricted Electrical Work Licence
C Class motor vehicle licence
Arctik Refrigerant Handling Licence
While not mandatory, the following professional registrations are considered highly desirable for this position:
QBCC Mechanical Services – Occupational Licence
The following knowledge, skills and experience will be highly regarded:
Previous experience in operation and maintenance of Chiller Plant and cooling towers
Commercial Refrigeration and operation of Building Management Systems
Experience or working knowledge of pressure controlled clean room and isolation room equipment
The position will be required to participate in the "ON-CALL" roster for the provision of 24/7 Building Engineering and Maintenance Services.
Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.
Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
