We are looking to engage an experienced Engineering Technologist to provide technical leadership for our company projects and help us take the next step in our growth.
In a nutshell, this role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to support the successful execution of construction projects.
Responsibilities: Project Support: Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop project plans, specifications, and designs. Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Conduct site visits to gather data, assess project requirements, and provide technical assistance during construction phases. Technical Analysis: Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to assess the feasibility and structural integrity of building designs. Evaluate materials, components, and systems for construction projects, considering factors such as cost, durability, and sustainability. Identify potential risks and propose solutions to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct tests and experiments on construction materials and prototypes to evaluate performance and durability. Monitor construction processes and procedures to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards. Collaborate with quality control teams to address issues and improve the overall quality of construction projects. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project data, including design documents, test results, and correspondence. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities to provide updates and resolve issues as needed. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to building and construction. Participate in professional development activities, such as training programs and seminars, to enhance skills and knowledge. Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standards within the organization. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $114,446.00 per year
