Engineering Technologist

Nolan Meats is a family owned meat processing business in Gympie, Queensland.This position is in our Engineering Team, which is responsible for the provision of plant and systems to enable efficient and safe production in a modern meat processing facility. The successful applicant will leverage their expertise in engineering principles, automation and optimization to drive productivity, efficiency and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse existing processes to identify areas for improvement.Minimize breakdowns relating to machinery or process.Implement strategies to streamline operations and enhance productivity.Designing workflow for both equipment and human processes.QualificationsBachelor degree in industrial engineering or related field.2+ years of experience in automation, process optimization, quality management and continuous improvement including warehouse management.Demonstrated experience in software programming for optimization relating to Matlab, CPLEX, VBA and Excel.Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability of continuous improvement methodologies and problem solving.Demonstrated project management skills.Personal AttributesDisplay enthusiasm and energyHave a 'hands on' attitude with excellent communication skillsHave demonstrated innovative work practicesPossess a strong desire to work in meat processing.Salary: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per annum.Please come to site and meet with us, bring your resume and complete an employment application form.
