Job Description Your new employer:
My client is a fortune 500 company, based in Germany but has 31,300 sites worldwide. They ensure efficient, powerful, and safe movement in machines and systems of any size.
Your new role:
• Ensure successful execution of concept and detail designs by the design team, producing complete project documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure that company operating and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
The role would cover:
• Ensure all HSE procedures are followed and all incidents are reported accordingly.
• Schedule/prioritize day-to-day work for the engineering design team (Resource allocation).
• Steer/guide/oversee design work carried out by the engineering design team.
• Ensure engineering schedules are followed by design engineers.
• Prepare and chair engineering toolbox meetings; ensure project schedules are up to date.
• Support engineering manager and production manager.
• Support engineering team to resolve production issues.
• Support new project review with engineering manager & sales engineers.
What we need from you:
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics) – Or equivalent.
• 5 years experience as a team lead in an engineering environment.
• IT Knowledge: SAP MM, PP, Microsoft Office.
• Autodesk - AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault experience.
• PTC - Creo and Windchill experience.
• Interact in a friendly and efficient manner with suppliers, customers, and staff.
• Be self-motivated and capable of multitasking.
• Demonstrate effective communication and team skills with a keen eye for detail.
