What this opportunity involves: As the Engineering Services Manager, you will be overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Melbourne Quarter Tower, ensuring compliance with statutory authorities, managing property services and specialist contractors, and implementing sustainability initiatives. The Engineering Services Manager will also be responsible for budgeting, reporting, and achieving targeted performance ratings.
An overview of the role: Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory authorities and good engineering practices in relation to maintenance of the property structure, façade, fittings, finishes, and services.Obtain certification from relevant contractors and consultants for all essential services.Prepare the annual Fire Safety Statement or other relevant documentation as required by the local authority.Ensure compliance with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.Co-ordinate effective and efficient management of all property services and other works required.Undertake periodic inspections of the building and plant to determine repair works required.Manage specialist contractors to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.Develop and maintain a property due diligence program.Implement and maintain planned preventative maintenance and information databases.Procure materials and building requirements to minimize disruption to tenants.Identify and implement energy, water, and waste conservation initiatives.Manage the tenant refurbishment process, including necessary approvals and certificates.Achieve sustainability key performance indicators set by the Owner.Review environmental sustainability performance data for reporting.Administer legislative requirements related to environmental and sustainability issues.Provide leadership and oversight of operational functions.Train and delegate duties to Property Services Manager and Supervisor.Participate in specific programs and initiatives.Sound like you? This is what we're looking for: Tertiary qualifications are desirable but a Trade Certificate will be favourably considered.Previous experience in delivering new Premium or A grade Properties from construction PC to occupation.A demonstrated ability to prioritise work within tight operational and financial deadlines.A positive approach to meeting client's needs whilst managing tenant expectations.The ability to empathise with tenant needs and a good customer service ethic is essential.An ability to comfortably communicate with people at all levels.Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior Technical Operations Manager in A Grade or Premium Assets.What you can expect from us: You'll join an entrepreneurial, inclusive culture.
