Regional Express is currently seeking applications for a motivated, suitably qualified and experienced person for a Regulatory Post Holder full-time position of Engineering Quality and Compliance Manger. This is a senior position within Rex Engineering.
This position will ideally be based at one of our bases in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, however, flexibility will be considered for the successful candidate.
Reporting:
This position reports to the General Manager Engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the AMOs documented procedures and processes complies with the Part 145 MOS; Monitor the AMO's quality system as required by CASR Parts 145, 147 and 66; Monitor and audit the organisation's compliance with regulatory requirements and its documented procedures; Manage of the Audit Program, including requesting remedial, corrective and preventive action by the Accountable Manager and Responsible Managers for identified quality and safety deficiencies; Selection Criteria:
Eligible to hold a similar position under the CAR 1988 regulations or similar quality position under another NAA; Qualification in quality management and/or extensive experience in aviation quality or safety management; At least 2 years' experience in quality management systems; Knowledge of different aircraft types and maintenance operations; Knowledge of Human Performance in accident causation and prevention and investigation processes for reportable occurrences and hazardous events; Understanding of employee training and authorisation requirement; Knowledge of the CASR Parts 42 & 145 regulations; and Knowledge of the MOS, the REX MOE the AAPM MOE and the Group Safety Management System Standard (AMO SMS requirements). Experience in aircraft maintenance (desirable). Experience and/or qualifications as a Lead Auditor (desirable). Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to confidently engage and liaise with a range of subject matter experts from across various elements/functions of the organisation. Good level of analytical and report writing skills with a focus on providing well researched recommendations. Well-developed IT skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Ability to work either independently or as part of a team in order to achieve a recognisable and measurable outcome. Conditions:
