About the Centre and MARCS Institute:
The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) is a centre within the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development. The centre is explicitly interdisciplinary, combining electrical engineering, computer science, signal processing and neuroscience. The Centre focuses on developing Neuromorphic Engineering solutions to existing problems. The Centre has strong international partnerships within the neuromorphic engineering community.

The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is an interdisciplinary research Institute of Western Sydney University. Researchers in MARCS come from many disciplines including cognitive science, developmental psychology, language science, music science, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical, electrical, electronic and software engineering.

About the Role
The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join and lead their Technical Support Team. The Engineering Projects Team Leader is responsible for the coordination and management of ICNS Technical Support Staff and ensuring that support of ICNS research activities is at a high standard and that research project milestones are met. This role will provide engineering support and advice to researchers, students, and professional staff which includes leading practice in the design, implementation, and testing of electronic hardware, the support of novel software driven electronic devices, experimental control systems, data acquisition systems, and general electronics support.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at the Penrith's Werrington South campus, however as WSU is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.

About You
The successful applicant will have an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in industry and education/training. You will have a proven track record in engineering project management as well as experience leading, managing and coordinating a technical support team. Extensive demonstrated experience programming in C++, Matlab or Python for complex systems is essential.
