The Delivery Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end teams to deliver technology-enabled products, initiatives, and services.
They ensure the team is running and incorporating agile practices and principles to deliver solutions that support internal and external customers.
They optimise for continuous delivery, quality outcomes and protect the team from disturbance and external threats to be successful in all aspects of delivery, including: stakeholder engagement, planning, analysis, development, testing and release.
Key Responsibilities Include the Following:Business OutcomesLead an end-to-end delivery of technology-enabled products, initiatives and/or services.Ensure that the delivery team's purpose and objectives are clear and linked to the broader vision, strategy, and customer roadmap.Work closely with the Product Owner and Team, focus team on what is needed to deliver business outcomes that is the best value approach and in alignment with defined outcomes / objectives of the sprint and program increment.Agile Practices Governance and ManagementFacilitate and run day to day agile ceremonies including stand up's, sprint planning, retros and showcases.Lead PI planning event for the team and co-ordinate external team dependencies to ensure visibility of upcoming delivery.Communication of the team delivery commitments and progress updates (both at initiative and overall team levels).Shield the team and assist in the removal of blockers and other delivery obstacles.Coach, Mentoring and GuidingFacilitate team improvements and contribute to the Way of Working.Relationship Building and Other Management ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, and integration teams to ensure delivery is smooth and customer centric.Other responsibilities as directed by the Assignment or Reporting Manager.CommunityProactively support the uplift of project delivery practices and participate in and contribute to Communities of Practice within Bupa.To Be Successful in This Role You'll Need:Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience (desirable).Agile, Lean for Software Development, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps and are familiar with a range of digital tools.2-3 years of proven experience in running and optimising agile delivery teams with a blend of onshore and off-shore model.Preferable experience and exposure to scaled agile model and PI planning events.Preferable experience and exposure to AI principles and technologies.Preferable experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office365 suite.Preferable experience with running tech / middle layer agile teams.Leadership capabilities including the ability to foster productive team dynamics, engage and enable teams.Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.Able to create an effective team environment for people to innovate and learn.Stakeholder management, planning, organisation, decision making and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple streams of work effectively within your team.High level of flexibility with a strong ability to lead teams successfully through cultural, process, system and transformational change.Ability to think creatively to solve problems and to thrive on challenges requiring innovative solutions.Excellent communication skills to align teams and stakeholders.Approachable demeanour with an ability to resolve conflicting priorities and emergencies in a considered manner.Capability and willingness to enable others to become the best versions of themselves and to grow and develop.What's in it for You?As well as a competitive salary, a range of Bupa benefits and flexible working/ work from home, you'll be challenged and encouraged to innovate.
