We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Production and Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive efficiency across our Australian facility.
Position Overview: As the Engineering Production and Plant Manager, you will be responsible for optimising manufacturing and operational activities, including production planning, process control, and skills development.
This role requires a hands-on approach, where you'll not only lead and manage but also step in to assist wherever needed to help the company grow.
You will focus on equipment and machine optimisation, process flow improvements, and ensuring the facility operates in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
Key Responsibilities: Lead business optimisation initiatives to streamline manufacturing processes.Focus on equipment and machine optimisation and process flow improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.Develop and implement strategic production plans.Investigate "Australian Made" manufacturing equipment options.Design and implement maintenance and spare parts holding strategies, including sourcing local and imported components.Drive product research and development to maintain a competitive edge.Ensure sustainable, eco-friendly manufacturing practices.Identify and implement new or improved manufacturing techniques.Oversee on-site training and skills development for production teams.Manage staff activities, develop job descriptions, and conduct performance reviews.Design and implement performance dashboards to monitor production output, adjust processes, and minimise costs.Ensure facilities management meets occupational health and safety requirements.Oversee plant relocations, commissioning, and installation of new equipment.Take a proactive, hands-on approach to assist in daily operations and growth initiatives.Adapt and apply your expertise across a range of equipment and technologies including: Bioprocessing, Emulsification, Homogenization, Filtration, Microencapsulation, Lyophilization, Encapsulation, Nanotechnology, Spray drying, Blending, High-pressure processing, Cold processing, Hot processing, Solvent extraction, Chilling and freezing, Centrifugation, Sonication.Our versatile manufacturing lines includes products in a variety of formats, including: Powders, Liquids, Tablets, Capsules, Sachets, Jars, Bottles, Tubes.Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology or higher in Mechanical Engineering (5-year qualification).Experience in financial management and facilities management.At least 5 years of relevant management experience in manufacturing.Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills in developing strategic plans.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Innovative thinking, especially regarding product development and manufacturing improvements.A hands-on mindset with a willingness to assist in various tasks to help grow the company.Ability to adapt to and apply knowledge across a wide range of advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment.Proven experience in optimising machines, equipment, and processes to maximise productivity and efficiency. #J-18808-Ljbffr
