About the role We are currently recruiting an Engineering Officer within the Substation Design team. Ideally, this position will be located from Wagga Wagga but other locations within Essential Energy's Operational Footprint may be considered.
Do you currently have design experience with the high voltage electrical substation, or have used Enterprise Asset Management systems to create and manage work orders and asset? As an Engineering Officer within the Substation Design Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of substation design. This includes civil, structural, and electrical design components. You will also be trained in the use of the Enterprise Asset Management System to create work orders, estimate projects, and add substation assets.
About your experience We are looking for someone with:
Experience in a similar Substation Design engineering role in the Energy/Electrical sector and/or Asset Management roles. Knowledge and application of current design philosophies, procedures, statutory requirements including Safe Design. Demonstrated experience to utilise analytical and technical knowledge to manage activities during planned and unplanned events providing appropriate solutions to technical/engineering issues in the Energy Network Technical environment. About your skills We are looking for someone with:
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage diverse and complex issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver technical services in a professional and timely manner. Strong attention to detail and commitment to produce quality work. Strong time management skills with excellent planning and organisational skills, to be able to handle a varying complex workload. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need:
Diploma of Electrical Engineering or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications. Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.
