The Engineering Officer is part of a multidiscipline team of
engineering resources providing systems engineering support to the
Manager, Train and Tram Assets in the management of the South
Australian Government's train and tram assets, including long
term planning to achieve consistency of asset condition and
standards across all systems.
In addition to the provision of systems engineering support, the
role will be required to work collaboratively with services
providers and key stakeholders through the provision of technical
advice and assurance of operational assets and capital programs and
will be responsible for reviewing projects and ensuring compliance
to relevant standards, legislation, policies and procedures.
The role requires knowledge and experience in rail systems,
performing comprehensive risk and performance assessments to ensure
system safety and reliability, and exploring new technologies to
enhance operational performance and innovation.

Qualifications
Degree in Engineering providing eligibility for membership as a
Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers Australia is
required.
Special ConditionsA National Police Check
(NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for
Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three
years.
A current Driver's licence.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some
intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be
required.

PO2 - $88,255 to $97,667 pa + superannuation
