Novated lease options for personal use.About your role: Join the Lines Design and Engineering team, where you will play a key role in the delivery of effective line design services for underground lines sub-transmission & specialist distribution engineering projects.
Reporting to the Senior Lines Design Engineer and utilising your technical background, you will lead, mentor and train other team members as it relates to all aspects of underground lines design engineering. This includes quality reviews & checking for internally generated designs by the wider team.
This is a true technical role, where you are heavily involved in the preparation of underground cable system design drawings, calculations and expert analysis as you utilise relevant engineering software (AutoCad, CymCap and PLS-Cadd).
You'll also lead and assist with the preparation of engineering specifications, which includes the assessment of tenders for design, construction, materials and specialist consultancy services for assigned projects.

With flexi-working and a 9- or 10-day fortnight in place, the salary band ranges from $141,453 - $152,776 for 9 days and $159,842 - $172,637 for 10 days. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant's knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2024.

About you: Associate Degree of Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualificationTechnical knowledge and experience related to the engineering design, construction, and maintenance required for transmission, distribution, and communication lines engineering.Demonstrated knowledge in the application of engineering software, calculations, and analysis techniques in a multi-disciplinary environment, including AutoCad, CymCap and PLS-Cadd.Ability to interpret project scope documents to produce works plans for underground cabling systems, transmission lines, construction works and substation HV cabling works.Negotiation skills dealing with the public, design and construction contractors, Government Departments and local authorities when applied to Lines Design.High level of written and oral communication ability, along with well-developed inter-personal skills including effective communication with field staff to ensure key aspects of designs are communicated and fed back to design team members.What matters most to us is our values, We're Safe – We Belong - We Grow - We Deliver.
