Constructive Solutions Pty Ltd (CSPL) is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead its engineering team as it meets an increasing demand for our services in fields such as infrastructure and renewables.
CSPL commenced operations in 1994 delivering multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy from offices based in Brisbane (Toowong), Tamworth and Toowoomba. Weprovide civil and environmental engineering design and management solutions and have specific expertise in the project management of civil infrastructure. Our clients comprise State government, local councils, resource sector companies. renewable energy proponents and other private enterprises.
The Position
The full-time position being offered is based in Tamworth. You will be responsible for leading a technical team which is undertaking a variety of projects, and personally undertaking some of these projects. The exact nature of work varies, depending on the nature of the projects that CSPL has been engaged to complete at the time however, demonstrated engineering experience in project management associated with civil infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Typical works may include the preconstruction and construction project management of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and water and sewer.
Your position as an Engineering Manager will involve, seeking out, developing and securing work opportunities and ongoing Client liaison to maintain business relationships. It will also involve the management of staff, including ensuring their safety, wellbeing and enjoyment within the work environment. It will also involve mentoring and supporting staff to develop their professional careers.
A key role will be providing professional engineering advice to our clients. Accordingly, excellent communication and effective and constructive client liaison will form a significant component of the work.
The Person
The person we are looking for will need to have the following blend of qualifications, experience, and qualities:
Ethical, trustworthy and committed to the honest and open delivery of services. Self-motivated and positive, with the ability to inspire and lead others. Highly developed written and oral communication skills Holds a degree in Civil Engineering including eligibility for Membership of Engineers Australia and/or Project Management qualifications. Ability to listen to Clients and develop solutions to meet their needs. Seeks solutions, wants to make a difference and is prepared to think outside the box Respects and supports other team members. Can manage competing and changing work priorities. Able to work with a high degree of autonomy. Applicants must have at least ten (10) years of Engineering experience in Australia, which includes the management of other professional staff. Being a RPEQ and/or CPEng would be highly desirable, as would experience in the road/bridge or water/sewer projects.
Employment is conditional on the applicant holding a current NSW drivers' licence. Applicants must be currently living in Australia and be able to legally work in Australia.
