We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Operations Team to support our ongoing investment and expansion.
You will be responsible for taking the lead on Manufacturing Process Improvement Initiatives, Automation Projects & Pre-Emptive Maintenance Planning, Reporting to the Operations Manager & supported by the Technical & Extrusion Department personnel, you will take a hands-on approach & ownership of a diverse project portfolio with a primary focus on Mechanical Process Optimisation, Maintenance, Safety and Design.
Exposure to Plastic Extrusions environment highly regarded, but you will gain invaluable experience working alongside and supporting a highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage Technical / Mechanical Facets of our Extrusion Plant and Equipment Design, Development, Trial and Establishment of SOPs for new products with a Strong Focus on Rigid Profile DivisionAssist in Establishing and Managing Operator Training ProgramsEstablish and Manage Pre-Emptive Maintenance ProgramsLiaise with Contractors & Service ProvidersTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, machine operation, and product quality.Lead Plant Innovation, Safety and Advancement ProjectsRequirements: University QualificationA Positive, Friendly Can-Do AttitudeExtensive experience in CAD design development and implementation.Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering within Manufacturing industry.High expectations regarding quality compliance, plant and process calibrations.Strong background in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting within the production environment.Exposure to ERP programs.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamProviding direction and leadership to the technical department in collaboration with Operations Manager and Technical Lead to deliver Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
