Obadare is Australia's only American Petroleum Institute (API) 4F licensed CSG rig builder, and now our own OEM product range is expanding we are seeking a professional manager to lead and develop our engineering team.Our business is based in the resources industry working between the oil, gas and mining sectors, so we are looking for our engineering manager to come from either a background within mechanical engineering and manufacturing or from within the industry. The successful candidate in the role does not have to be an engineer, so we are open to applications from a variety of backgrounds that may enhance and bring new skills into the business and team. At a minimum, the successful candidate must have proven experience leading and managing a team, the ability to schedule resources, and have either the engineering qualifications or in-depth industry experience (drilling and workover or CSG operations).On a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in scheduling resources and project activities, mentoring, and training the team, identifying opportunities for improvement, and actively working with the commercial team to help secure upcoming work. For projects that are in place, you will be actively reviewing status, scheduling key meetings or design hold point checks, and reviewing drawings and designs through to release steps. Our current team of eight mechanical engineers are established, and you have a great basis to develop the team further and have your imprint on our designs and outputs within the business.The business is currently operating Solidworks for engineering design and drafting, with Greentree ERP as our costing and management software.
