An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team within a premier glass processing companyPosition: Engineering ManagerLocation: New South Wales, AustraliaSalary: Approximately $170,000 plus SuperannuationVisa Sponsorship: Available for qualified overseas candidatesOverview: The role involves developing and implementing effective maintenance programs for all plant and equipment including LiSEC equipment, to minimize downtime, optimize production efficiency, and ensure top-quality product output.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Safety and Compliance: Champion safety within the engineering team and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.Process Improvement: Oversee maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues specifically LiSEC related, and collaborate with production teams to enhance efficiency and quality.Project Management: Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver on project goals.Equipment Management: Provide leadership on LiSEC equipment, oversee installations, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of all equipment.Quality Assurance: Work closely with Operational Excellence and Production teams to uphold quality standards and address any non-conformance issues.Cost and Sustainability Management: Manage the engineering budget, identify cost-saving initiatives, and implement sustainable manufacturing practices.Automation: Oversee and optimise Lisec machinery automation with a strong focus on AutoFab integration and performance. Conduct detailed diagnostics, troubleshooting, and custom automation enhancements on multiple Lisec machines integrated through AutoFab.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with Lisec machinery, with a strong emphasis on Automation and AutoFab systems, and 5+ years in the glass industry.Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.Extensive knowledge of AutoFab platforms, including configuring automated workflows, quality control processes, and data integration with Lisec machinery.Proficiency in PLC programming, sensor integration, and other relevant automation technologies.Proven track record in managing a team of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing environment.
