About the Role
The Engineering Manager will join the property team at RSL Lifecare during a period of major organisational change. This change will lead to the creation of a significant capital project pipeline and the Engineering Manager will create, implement and manage the delivery of the CAPEX and asset lifecycle strategy.
With responsibility to centralise a function that previously operated independently at Village level, key to the role will be the ability to engage and influence throughout the entire organisation, this will include influencing decisions at each village, indirect leadership of Building Services Managers and securing approval for funding from the CEO and executive team. This will require passion and conviction for the work you are doing and the expertise to make confident and sound decisions.
This role will work closely with key stakeholders including, the Chief of Property and the General Manager, Asset Management to assist in the formulation of asset management and development plans for each of RSL Lifecares 60 plus facilities. As Engineering Manager you will become the SME for all Engineering, Project Management, Technical FM and asset lifecycle analysis.
Responsibilities Continually drive innovation within the RSL Lifecare property team and remained informed of industry trends and legislative change.Develop and continuously monitoring of three, five and 10 year asset lifecycle plans.Responsibility for the delivery all capital works projects and assisting the building services team in delivering minor projects.Prepare and manage annual capital budgets, whilst continually seeking out cost-saving initiativesBecome the voice for continued improvement and innovation within RSL LifecareEnsure companywide adherence to all risk and safety protocols.The identification, documentation and tracking of all associated risks in a timely manner with risk mitigation strategies implemented as required.Skills and Experience
To be successful you must possess the following:
Tertiary Engineering qualificationsSelf confidence and expert negotiation and influencing skillsProven expertise in the creation and delivery of large-scale capital project programsThe ability to demonstrate the positive impact of previous asset lifecycle plans.Astute in balancing commercial decisions with customer experience.Extensive experience establishing and maintaining key stakeholder and contractor partnerships together with strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.Alignment and commitment to the values of the organisation and mission to enrich the lives of seniors.You'll be joining a team who have the passion and drive to change the lives of thousands of Australians.
