About the Role We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team within the Digital Products group.
This role will focus on delivering innovative technology solutions for the Operational Planning and Scheduling value stream of the mining supply chain, enabling optimization and efficiency across operations.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and working closely with the customer and product management, you will work collaboratively to shape and deliver the roadmap for digital solutions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and value delivery.
Responsibilities Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, simulation experts and optimisation specialists to deliver high-impact solutions.
Define and implement the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and value stream priorities.
Provide technical oversite, leadership and coaching to the engineering delivery teams.
Guide salutation architecture, and design or products to support the long-term business requirements.
Work closely with the Product Manager to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Planning and Scheduling value stream.
Translate business goals into technical deliverables and ensure alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of software products that address complex planning and scheduling challenges in the mining supply chain.
Act as a bridge between engineering, product, and business teams to drive alignment and successful outcomes.
Promote best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and system scalability.
Foster professional growth within the team through coaching, feedback, and career development support.
About you Broad experience in software development, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable systems.
Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, C#.
Knowledge of discrete event simulation and optimization methods (e.g., linear programming, metaheuristics).
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing engineering teams.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Understanding of planning and scheduling within the mining or supply chain domain is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with cross-functional teams.
Experience partnering closely with Business stakeholders and Product Managers to align technical and business strategies.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
