JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager with extensive experience in Greenfields EPC/EPCM environments to be based in our Melbourne office.
You will need to have a proven capability of successfully delivering large projects, coordinating large multidisciplinary teams, and providing technical assurance in delivery.
Candidates with Upstream Oil & Gas and gas transport pipelines experience would be advantageous.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in delivery of technical assuranceAssist in management performance of direct reportsAssist in ensuring competence of engineering teamManage succession planning and delivery on behalf of the contractAssist in setting & maintaining standards for the development and retention of motivated and competent peopleAssist in the management of recruitment, selection, transfers, and promotion of resources to meet Engineering team requirementsContinuous promotion of corporate/client specific proceduresAssist in incident investigations as requiredRepresent Wood disciplinesAssist in setting performance expectations for direct reportsActively maintain own competence and continuous developmentAssist in identifying & requesting functional support to the project/contract as requiredRoll out & implement learning opportunities from across the businessConduit for regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developmentsSupport and supervise tasks delegated to respective teamExecute assigned business objectivesManage and direct resources efficiently and effectively QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering with a qualification in a relevant subjectChartered Engineer or equivalent with a recognized professional bodyExperience working across all engineering phases from concept to executionDemonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and positionCapable of representing Wood and clients to business associates in a professional mannerProfessional demeanourAble to keep discipline & resolve conflictAble to demonstrate team building skills and capable of influencing people at all levels of the organizationEnthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learnFlexible with a can-do attitude
