The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
ResponsibilitiesManage a team of full-stack software engineers while demonstrating technical leadership to strategize the team's execution.Design, guide, and vet systems design within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).Build the team's product strategy and enable the team to maximize the delivered impact with technical expertise.Invest in people to create a positive, respectful, and psychologically safe working environment.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects.2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.Experience working collaboratively with other designers (e.g., UX researchers, UX writers, product managers, and engineers).Proficiency in full-stack development across Android and web applications, showcasing adaptability to diverse technical environments.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
