Job Description The Commercial Products team manages a fleet of custom-built systems that perform critical functions for our Sales Operations, Traffic, Finance and Presentation teams, which make it possible for us to sell and traffic ads into our linear broadcasts schedules. In other words, our systems manage all revenue associated with broadcast.
In your role as a people leader your focus will be removing blockers, breaking down silos, and championing an iterative, DevOps mindset. You are also comfortable working with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Role responsibilities: Work with engineering leadership to identify opportunities to improve practices and processes around engineering and delivery, and assist with the implementation and upkeep of these practices. Help develop and maintain a strategy to deliver on business goals via system improvements and new functionality. Participate in and, when required, facilitate team ceremonies. Feed into the product roadmap, especially by identifying opportunities for technical improvement that will deliver business value via improved reliability, performance, and efficiency. Focus on team engagement and culture. As a leader, you'll: Manage team according to a strategic framework of business outcomes and key responsibilities. Employee engagement via one-on-ones and other opportunities to help manage performance and career progression. Help progress your team members' careers by identifying development and growth opportunities. Qualifications: Prior experience leading teams. Knowledge of strategic frameworks including OKRs and other outcome-lead performance frameworks. Effective communication abilities. Strong capabilities in guiding ongoing improvements to Ways of Working and team practices. Excellent knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with effective implementation in an environment with low DevOps maturity. Nice to haves: Experience working with large, inward facing mission critical systems. Industry experience with broadcast or streaming media beneficial but not required.
