Responsibilities include: Participating in design reviews to identify and mitigate operational risk. You work closely with Software Development and Site-Reliability teams to improve the change management lifecycle.Drive teams to improve operational efficiency for all services through root-cause and trend analysis through development of SLA, metrics, monitors, procedures, tools, and documentation.Work directly with hardware design teams to collaborate on hardware issues discovered in the fleet.Draft strategies that adapt and scale the business for an exponentially-growing customer-base.Play a significant role in hiring, developing, and promoting of engineers of varying technical levels and backgrounds.Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
About the team: We are experiencing rapid growth, therefore your onboarding will be dynamic in nature, where you will gain diverse experience working in new and established AWS data centres. These future Amazonians will rotate through various AWS locations to complete training as part of their onboarding to prepare for deployment in a data centre region. This training will be completed over a duration of 6-12 months. Once training is completed, individuals will be relocated to the permanent location.
