About the role The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is a Full-Time position, based at Coopers Plains, QLD. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage all aspects of engineering, maintenance, continuous improvement, and capital projects for the Interior Systems – Gyprock factory.
In this role you will:
Lead: Manage the Engineering and Maintenance team of Fitters, Electricians, and Supervisors. Championing Safety and Well-being: Create a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment for all team members. Inspiring Growth and Efficiency: Ensure the effective operation of the site, maximising efficiency while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Empowering Collaboration: Provide leadership in daily and long-term operations, driving improvement initiatives and tracking performance. Clear Vision and Direction: Provide technical leadership that guides the plant towards achieving strategic objectives. Innovating for Sustainability: Utilize Lean Manufacturing Principles to enhance plant reliability, product quality, and streamline processes. Ideally, you will have either a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or trade background with experience in a manufacturing site, as well as excellent Leadership and People Management skills.
