About the teamAirwallex is establishing a state-of-the-art lending platform and building a suite of related credit products which include customer facing credit cards. The Cards team are revolutionizing the way businesses issue credit cards and manage expenses for their employees. This team solves complex challenges around the growing demands of data and feature complexity in credit cards and expenses, and they work at the exciting intersection of our backend infrastructure and customer facing applications, working on distributed systems that manage millions of transactions.
What you'll doAs an Engineering Lead at Airwallex, you'll be in a high-impact role that collaborates with Product & Engineering teams across the organisation, managing a full stack product focused team. The role includes both people & technical responsibilities, and you'll be responsible for both the product delivery & overall health of the Engineering Team. This role will suit someone who is in a hands-on Lead or Engineering Manager role, and who has both back-end and front-end development experience.
This role will require a relocation to Sydney, Australia. Who you areBachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
A solid understanding of back end and front end development and best practice
8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on low latency, distributed systems
Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers
Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot
Strong problem-solving mindset, comfortable working with customers, partners, and the Airwallex Engineering team to develop new products and solutions
Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and build credibility at all levels
