About the RoleEmbark on a rewarding journey as an Engineering Intern at AGL Loy Yang, where you'll take part in the journey to reshape our Energy Portfolio, being one of the most significant decarbonisation initiatives in Australia.
We are committed to re-purposing the site into the Latrobe Valley Integrated Industrial Energy Hub to support regional economic diversification and to create new employment opportunities.
This 12-month, 2 day/week placement will be an amazing opportunity to work with & gain experience at our coal Power Station while also looking at the future into renewable energy sources.
About YouAre you a current Engineering student with a passion and desire to learn about the Energy Industry?
This paid placement could provide you with an opportunity to undertake meaningful employment related to your studies.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide support to Asset Engineers and Plant Engineers within their designated team.Apply appropriate theoretical and practical engineering methods to analyse and find solutions for plant failures and problems.Utilise general engineering knowledge, including methodology such as Root Cause Analysis to determine failure causes and the necessary actions to prevent recurrences.Manage changes to plant using the Management of Change process.Use engineering knowledge to advise on the development of strategic plans such as Asset System Plans and maintenance plans, scope plant integrity & inspections.What You BringCurrent Engineering Student studying mechanical or mechatronics engineering (preferably 2nd or 3rd year).Self-motivation and initiative, with a demonstrated commitment to providing an effective business-oriented service.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Due to the time of year, there may be a delay with our response to your application.
