This role gives you the opportunity to be part of a high-performance team, to learn and grow individually and collectively. We are looking for an Engineering Instructor to join our team at The ACE Training Centre in Bankstown. This is a permanent position, working Monday- Friday and gives an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer an opportunity to build skillset and experience in the ever growing aviation training industry.
The Engineering Instructor (EI) is part of the team that provides the professional technical knowledge for engineers, aircrew and supporting elements across Toll Aviation operations and within The ACE Training Centre. The EI performs the role of a ground school technical instructor within a team for the purposes of designing, managing, supervising and delivering all aspects of AW139 technical training delivered at The ACE Training Centre, including but not limited to, annual engineer maintenance training and OEM AW139 Pilots' Type Endorsement Technical package. This encompasses supervision and standardisation of all technical knowledge instruction.
The EI also performs the role of an AME/LAME by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft on a dedicated roster to build skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities Delivery of Engineer related Technical trainingDelivery of majority of ground technical training for pilots and aircrew officersDelivery of recurrent technical, aircraft familiarisation and safety training for clients, including paramedics and other clinical staffDelivery and assessment of Engineering staff inductionAssist in the development and delivery of Engineer Human Factors trainingDeliver PMA training and maintenance management system trainingPotential delivery of Recurrent technical training for an engineering workforce (under a future Part 147)Management of training governance materials including relevant TMPs, Courseware, etcStandardisation and ongoing professional development and assessment of all other instructors for technical theoryMaintain Pt66 licensing and currency requirements by performing/certifying for maintenance on our fleet of AW139 aircraftSkills & Experience Essential requirements include: Having a relevant aviation background exceeding 10 yearsHold Cert IV Aeroskills (B1.3 or B2) or equivalent (military or overseas)Prior experience in training/mentoring engineersExceptional communication skillsMotivated and skilled to design and deliver quality technical training both in class and as E-learning as a primary responsibilityHighly desirable requirements include: Part 66 Licence (B1.3 and/or B2) or ability to obtainAW139 Type Rating or ability to completeExperience delivering aviation theory trainingPart 141, 142 and / or 147 Training Approval or equivalentMulti-lingual and / or ability and aptitude to deliver training to foreign students using translation servicesWhat moves you?
