The RoleThe newly established General Purpose Frigate Branch, within the Naval Shipbuilding & Sustainment Group (NSSG) is seeking an experienced and passionate EL 2 Engineering Director who will:Be accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure a high-level of integration and consistency across Defence engineering and project functions.Be accountable for managing and leading a high-performing team, including managing performance, delegating responsibility, guiding, and developing people.Lead the planning and delivering of critical engineering activities, including the review and development of technical aspects of Approach to Market (ATM) and Request for Tender (RFT) documentation and artefacts, and the facilitation or engagement in industry workshops as required (note this may require official overseas travel).Develop and maintain and/or provide input to the development and maintenance of plans and documentation required for project governance.Engage and influence Defence senior leadership and provide the key link between senior executives and Defence employees.About our TeamThe SEA3000 General Purpose Frigate Branch operates within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group, as a part of the Major Surface Combatants & Combat Systems Division.
