About the Position Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD that will unlock a bottleneck at the core of the rail network and that will transform the way we travel across the whole of Southeast Queensland.
It will include four new underground stations through the middle of Brisbane.
Provide a new above-ground station at the RNA Showgrounds.
Upgrade six stations between Fairfield and Salisbury.
Deliver three new stations on the Gold Coast.
Introduce a new world-class signalling system to the wider SEQ rail network.
Leveraging extensive experience in project engineering in rail systems and signalling, along with experience in real-time system engineering, testing and integration activities, the EDM will play a key role in the delivery of this program of work.
Accountabilities: Coordination and liaison with Delivery Manager and subsystem design teams.
Engineering change management.
Design management.
Design review.
Configuration management.
Civil engineering.
Systems engineering.
Lifecycle management.
Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high level of continuous improvement and safety.
Required Skills/Knowledge: Significant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline engineering projects including phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
Experience in real-time system engineering; testing and integration activities, software verification and validation best practices and safety critical techniques.
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple key stakeholders displaying highly polished interpersonal and communication skills.
Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.
Strong working relationships with technology providers.
A degree in engineering or equivalent.
