About the Role Reporting directly to the Superintendent Mine Engineering, the Ventilation Engineer is responsible for ensuring sufficient ventilation is supplied to all underground mining areas across the Mungari Operation. Key responsibilities include:
Conduct primary and secondary ventilation surveys as required to align with legislation, and record and report survey outcomes to ensure ventilation is sufficient for diesel equipment working in the area.Maintain the Ventsim models for each minesite and complete ventilation planning for Life of Mine (LOM) requirements.Identify opportunities to optimise the ventilation system including ventilation on demand project.Be involved in Life of Mine (LOM) planning for the underground assets at Mungari.Maintain registers of all primary and secondary ventilation devices and ensure all ventilation and gas measuring equipment is calibrated and repaired as required.Work closely with the electrical department to ensure that ventilation fans are regularly maintained and kept in optimal condition.The position will be offered on a 5:2:4:3 residential roster or an 8:6, FIFO roster from Perth. About You To be successful in this role you will have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high standard of work. Key attributes you will also possess include:
