31408 Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of an Engineer - Reliability to join the Maintenance Support team at the Zinc Lead Concentrator.
The team is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operations team in maintaining/enhancing the reliability of the Zinc Lead Concentrator and Filter Plant.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer – Concentrator Maintenance, this is a residential role in Mount Isa, working a 5/2, 4/3 roster.
The primary responsibility of this position consists of working through optimisation of maintenance strategies, conducting failure investigations, maintaining and enhancing the condition monitoring program etc.
The team includes a condition monitoring technician and mechanical engineers of varying experience.
Plant equipment includes centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, conveyors, ball and sag mills, cyclones, filter presses etc.
The team is supported by a Mount Isa based Asset Management team which provides governance and technical support across the regional assets.
Key responsibilities: Utilising condition monitoring data to manage and report on equipment riskManaging statutory equipment with assistance from the Asset Management teamOptimising reliability, eliminating losses, maximising utilisation and asset life in a safe and cost-effective mannerResponsible for minor improvement projects around the ConcentratorReview, develop and align maintenance strategiesWork with production, maintenance and other stakeholders to identify and develop engineering solutions to reduce repetitive failures and issues that adversely affect plant operationsAn understanding in maintenance management systems (SAP), experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, as well as demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centred maintenance and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis is desirableAssist in mentoring graduate engineers and vacation studentsYou will have the following skillset and attributes: Bachelor's degree - Mechanical EngineeringProactive, self-motivated, result driven individual with excellent communication skillsThe ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary teamFocus on safety through care rather than complianceAbility to work autonomouslyDesirable experience: 2 years' experience in a heavy industrial environmentExperience in condition monitoring – vibration and oil analysis, thermography, NDT etc.Experience/Proficiency in SAPBenefits of this position: Competitive Remuneration packaged with 13% superannuationPaid relocation inclusive of 12 weeks furnished transit accommodationBenefits program including discounts with Health Insurance providers, online and in-store discounts through Glencore Rewards, salary sacrificing vehicles, Employee Referral Program and Recognition and Reward programsFantastic professional development opportunities with Professional External Education Assistance, leadership development programs, ambassador Programs and more; and unrivalled career opportunitiesResidential AllowanceFor further information, please contact: Bec McManus 07 4744 2080
