The RoleThis Engineering Communications role within the Combat Systems Program is an excellent opportunity to engage with stakeholders, perform and achieve very complex communications engineering work within an integrated workforce.The role requires delivering a radio frequency communications system and networking capability to the Collins Class submarine. Engineering functions include managing requirements, analysing communications system performance and verifying the implementation.The Engineer is accountable to perform and achieve very complex communications engineering work in compliance with legislative frameworks, and Defence's mission and policy requirements.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.Please Note: The successful candidate may be required to undertake work on and be provided with technical information pertaining to defence articles of United States of America (US) origin.
