About The RoleAll progress begins with pioneers. At Rio Tinto, it begins with you. We are currently looking for a processing professional to join our central operational support team. Our OC Support team provides technical support and delivers process improvement initiatives across Rio Tinto Iron Ore. The role is shift based (3d/3n/6off) at the RTIO Operations Centre in Perth, with occasional site travel. Roster allowances will be provided in accordance with the roster and role requirements.

Within these roles you will beEngaging stakeholders to provide technical process guidance and support across the value chain.Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to support current and future strategy and driving best practice and cross site processing replication opportunities.Providing subject matter expertise for processing unit operations across our existing and future dry, wet and concentrator processing plants.Analysing unit operation and plant data to understand processing performance and improvement opportunities across our operations.Execute process improvements, controller continuous improvement initiatives and assist with plant trials.What You'll BringRelevant tertiary qualifications (Process Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent).Background in process engineering or related technical discipline with fixed plant operational experience.Ability to work across discipline and geographic boundaries, connecting people to collaboratively solve problems.Experience in teams that have delivered improvements in safety and operating performance, and continuous improvement objectives.An analytical approach with strong technical problem solving.Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills.Experience with process flowsheet modelling and PLC logic would be beneficial.What We OfferBe recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress.
