CITIC Pacific Mining is currently looking for an Engineer - Process to join our team in the Concentrator - based in Cape Preston.
Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, this is a permanent role on a 2/1 Roster (days/nights) FIFO from Perth.
The Control Room Process Engineer is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of milling and operating systems to continuously improve mill line efficiency and throughput.
This role assists the Control Room senior process engineer and senior management with daily, monthly, and yearly reports and paperwork.
Additionally, the engineer collects and analyzes processing data, monitors production, and develops or amends operating processes and procedures as needed.
Work in close collaboration with the control room operators, production, technical teams, and maintenance.
Liaising with all Concentrator areas, equipment management, and equipment vendors to identify new technologies to improve equipment functionality.
In this role you'll be responsible for: Adhere to CPM's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Liaise frequently with control room operators and the production team for optimal mill line efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of production areas and key processing equipment. Assess operating processes and procedures continually, recommending improvements for business enhancement. Maximize the utilization of all production plant and equipment to meet quality requirements. Coordinate with shift area supervisors, mechanical and electrical team to ensure minimal impact on production targets. Maintain correct shift reporting and handover processes in line with CPM procedures. Identify and communicate conflicting works with the control room senior engineer or concentrator production supervisor. Escalate operating issues during shifts to the Management team, collect and analyze operating data, and propose improvement initiatives. The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Bachelor Degree, qualified in Minerals Engineering, Mining, Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering. A current 'C' Class Drivers Licence Experience within a Mineral processing environment (Pebble crushing, Cyclone classification/slurry pump control logic experience, AG & Ball Milling experience and Magnetic separation experience). Proficient in SCADA control systems and preferably SAP experience. Knowledge of permit to work and isolation standards and requirements.
