The RoleAs a Project Engineer, reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will manage the safe and successful delivery of complex asset improvement projects in a way that ensures quality, financial and output targets are met. Each project that you execute will provide you the opportunity to work alongside varying engineering disciplines in both the infrastructure and mining space, meanwhile exposing you to a wide range of metalliferous mining equipment, including fixed and mobile assets.
Your key responsibilities include:Safe and successful delivery of capital, sustaining and asset improvement projects including shutdownsLead and manage complex mechanical asset projects involving personnel from a variety of disciplinesPerforming calculations for safe and efficient component designs and upgradesUndertake options planning to define the scope for improvements to individual assetsSupervise and manage the design, tendering and delivery phases of projects and programsManaging external suppliers working on engineering projectsUphold project management procedures, including project structures, controls and governance, risk management, stakeholder communications and reportingResponsible for providing mentoring and visible leadership, ensuring policies, standards and procedures are communicated, understood and applied.The successful applicants will have:Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Structural or Mechanical5 Years Underground Mining experienceDetailed understanding of project management disciplines (e.g. Prince2, PMBoK) and process improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean tools)Demonstrated experience in self-motivating, self-directed value-driven working style with ability to partner with business teams to improve their processes and process knowledgeKnowledge of business requirements gathering, analysis and process mapping techniquesExcellent communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skillsFor any further questions please contact: Jo-Mari Botha, Recruitment Advisor on 0437 176 896 or email ******
