This Engineering position sits within the Customer & Engineering unit domain; it delivers customer servicing, credit assessment and product originations technology solutions for the bank's customer via both online and staff facing channels. The enterprise applications delivered are group critical that support digital and staff facing application across the bank. We are a team of passionate engineers and technologists embarking on a multi-year journey to transform our core customer technology stack. Our mission is to simplify, modernize, and enhance the scalability, reliability, and security of our systems, ensuring that we continue to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Some Key Responsibilities are: Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs using Java and related frameworks (such as Spring) Test, document, and secure the APIs using various methodologies and standards. Work with Cassandra DB for data access and manipulation. Deliver high-quality code using best practices and design patterns. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders in a complex project environment. Implement bamboo pipelines for CI/CD and automation of Cassandra configuration What's in it for me? The successful candidate will have: Computer Science (or closely related degree) with a major in software engineering or equivalent Expertise in designing, developing and implementing RESTful APIs Proven results in programming and applications design in a medium or large enterprise Strong experience in Java as well as experience or exposure to the following Python, Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins and Shell Scripting What is it like to work there?
