Ltd. About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Structural Engineer to join a boutique engineering consultancy located in the Illawarra region.
Our client is a Structural Engineering firm that works with a diverse range of clients locally, across Australia, and internationally.
The team is involved in innovative and varied projects, offering an excellent opportunity to expand your professional expertise.
Key areas of focus include: Development, testing, analysis, and certification of building products such as precast concrete, cladding, cold-formed steel, and composite materials.
Pioneering digital solutions for the building product industry, moving beyond traditional approaches.
Design of cold-formed steel structures.
This role provides a unique chance to work across multiple disciplines, fostering both professional growth and a high level of diversity in your work.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead structural design and analysis projects, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and standards.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations, reports, and technical drawings.
Certify building products through testing and analysis.
Collaborate with clients to develop innovative digital solutions.
Design cold-formed steel structures and oversee their implementation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and technical presentations.
Maintain a proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
What You'll Need: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Progression toward Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia.
Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on design.
Knowledge of the NCC-BCA and Australian Standards.
Experience with residential and/or commercial structures.
Proficiency in structural engineering software and CAD tools.
Familiarity with site inspections of completed or under-construction projects.
