In this role, you will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure across Snowflake, dbt and AWS to deliver the data requirements for the key transformation programs and also to provide ongoing build & run support (DevOps) for the data platforms.
As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with other team members to manage and transform data to support our data platforms. You will be an integral part of the team, helping to enhance our data capabilities and reduce complexity in our data systems.
What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE Design, build and maintain the data infrastructure on Snowflake, dbt & AWS Data ServicesDesign, build and maintain the automation of CI/CD pipelines using buildkite and gitDesign, build and maintain the alerting, monitoring and notifications on data pipelines and data assets across Snowflake, AWS and dbtWrite test driven quality code that is templated, modular, secure and reusableImprove the overall test coverage of the codePerform daily monitoring checks of the critical batches and report any issues in a timely mannerWork closely with lead engineer and platform manager to build the ownership of data platform assetsContribute to the data modelling on SnowflakeBuild and maintain data engineering activities on AWS & Snowflake using services and tools such as Glue, Lambdas, SQL, Python, dbtBuild and maintain the integrations between AWS and SnowflakeWork with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data needsBuild quick & lean prototypes and proof of concepts to swiftly test new tools, capabilitiesPartner with Snowflake and AWS product teams to learn about new features and stay up to date with new trendsWhat YOU'LL NEED TO THRIVE Experience Solid experience in data engineering building data infrastructure and data pipelinesExperience working in cross functional scrum team-based delivery modelExperience in learning new tools on the jobTechnical Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Good experience with AWS and Snowflake is essential.Proficiency in Python, SQL, dbt is a mustSolid programming skills in Infrastructure as Code using CFN, Buildkite is a mustGood understanding of Engineering & DevOps practices is a mustWhy work for us?
