Data Engineer – 56103PermanentGold CoastPart of the UNITE programHow will I help?You will be part of our Group Technology, Wealth Technology, Digital & Innovation Team operating under the Westpac Group Business Division.
The Business Technology team is accountable for the delivery and management of all technology services and solutions required by the Business divisions.
This includes project delivery, application development & maintenance, and technology thought leadership.You will be performing migration activities using ETL tools, participating in multiple workshops to understand the structure of the data and how that will work in the new system.

We continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.What do I need?To be successful in this position, you should have experience in ETL tools as this program is highly focused on data migration.
You should be experienced in client requirement analysis, physical and logical design, development, debugging, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance of business applications.
Experience in implementing backup/restoration, crash recovery, and disaster recovery strategies is essential, as well as having previously designed and implemented regular procedures for backups as per best practices.
You should be experienced in proactive monitoring and troubleshooting using monitoring tools, with strong knowledge in database architecture, performance tuning, query tuning & optimization, and database tuning techniques using monitoring tools.What's it like to work there?We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities, and each other.
