Engine Field Service Technician - Level I

DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Engine Maintenance and Repair for our Field Service Division in Tamworth, Australia In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers courteously and professionally, ensuring prompt and efficient service while addressing their needs with expertise and care.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs on engines and related components at customer sites, adhering to documented schedules and standards.
Technical Repairs: Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, preparing necessary parts and tools, and escalating complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate service records, including service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims, both manually and digitally, to ensure comprehensive documentation of all service activities.
Vehicle and Tools Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and proper operation of service vehicles and tools, ensuring they are well-organized and ready for each job.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and legislation, actively participating in actions to improve safety and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education and Certification: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Trade Qualifications, and a Valid Driver's License. This position may also require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience: Previous experience as a Field Service Technician with intermediate-level knowledge of engine products, including hands-on repair and maintenance experience.
Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, understand their unique needs, and deliver customer-centric solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electronic service tools, performing diagnostics, and applying technical knowledge to repair and maintain mechanical and electrical products. Ability to interpret and analyze interactions of engine systems and document all troubleshooting and repair activities.
QUALIFICATIONS . Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
