DESCRIPTIONDiesel Mechanic – Field Service – MACKAYGET YOUR START IN MINING – Cummins will Relocate you and your family to Mackay!Competitive Salary with mine site allowance, overtime paid at penalty rates + bonus + super7/7 Roster based in Mackay and Bowen Basin Coal mining areaTool of Trade vehicle, meals & accommodation provided whilst travelling!We have opportunities for talented Field Service technicians to join our team specialising in engine repairs and maintenance for our Mackay branch.Let Cummins train you to be an engine expert!In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, this will be on an on-call rosterDiagnose and repair enginesInspect and replace components as requiredEngine rebuilding and reconditioningWork with other major OEM's such as Hitachi, Komatsu, LiebherrRESPONSIBILITIESTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)QUALIFICATIONSRelevant diesel fitter/heavy vehicle trade qualification or equivalentAt Cummins, we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
