The job is crucial in building collaborative relationships with First Nations people and communities to ensure effective policy implementation that aligns to aspirations of First Nations communities. Delivering high-quality services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through effective management of daily activities and collaborative leadership are critical to the success of the role.By fostering strong internal and external relationships, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, and providing expert guidance and constructive feedback, they contribute to business improvement and uphold a healthy, ethical workplace aligned with APS standards. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality service delivery and successful project execution within the branch, benefiting both the team and the communities they serve.Work travel is required as part of the Engagement Senior Officer role. Additional travel to other NIAA sites across the network including Canberra may be required. This position is required to liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and service providers.
