peoples who continue to maintain their ancient connection to country and share their rich culture and language.These immediate positions are based in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek in the Northern you will need to have an appreciation, awareness and understanding of matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities and be committed to strengthening your ongoing cultural competency To be successful in an APS6 Engagement Senior Officer role you will be able to: contribute to a culture that aligns with NIAA Values and fosters high performing teams who are dedicated to achieving quality program outcomes provide leadership and supervision to achieve branch outcomes and the NIAA's broader strategic directions for its stakeholders, providers and partners plan and coordinate work team flow to ensure even distribution and management of priorities undertake planning and implementation of small scale projects for the team or branch undertake reviews using internal quality assurance and continuous improvement processes provide technical and operational guidance and direction to the team.Analyse and respond to high level technical enquiries and complaints with some complexity apply sound judgement and make evidence-based decisions aligned to the organisational operating environment and legislative frameworks.In addition, to be successful in an EL1 Assistant Director Engagement role you will also be able to: exercise sound decision making and judgement to produce high level policy advice provide constructive management with a focus on identification and mitigation of risks to programs, stakeholders and other projects lead a team of Engagement Officers and Engagement Team Leaders to plan and deliver the NIAA's work program across a particular region or group of First Nations communities, including funding agreements and place-based initiatives provide expert advice and interpretation within technical or professional area, including preparing relevant strategic advice where appropriate create a culturally safe workplace by fostering an environment where the concept of culture and how it influences the workplace and
