The Local Community Engagement Team is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and dialogue between Housing Portfolio and local communities through proactive management of community engagement activities, to promote collaboration, inclusivity, and positive outcomes. The purpose of this role is to deliver local communication and engagement as it relates to the division's strategic direction, and effectively manage relevant stakeholder relationships. What you'll do As an Engagement Officer within the Local Community Engagement Team, your role is pivotal in facilitating effective communication and collaboration between Housing Portfolio and various stakeholders. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing community engagement plans in alignment with Housing Portfolio requirements, ensuring stakeholders are consulted appropriately and equipped with up-to-date information regarding project objectives and benefits. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with the broader Portfolio Management (Assets) Engagement teams to ensure a coordinated approach to government and senior stakeholder relationships, media, issues management, and marketing. You'll also provide support in identifying risks and opportunities associated with community engagement, implementing strategies to minimize risk effectively. Building and nurturing solid relationships with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders is paramount, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes and fostering their involvement in project activities. Additionally, you'll oversee the preparation, production, and dissemination of public information across various platforms, liaising with other divisional functional areas and external agencies as required. Furthermore, you'll play a crucial role in monitoring and evaluating communication activities undertaken by contractors, ensuring compliance with Housing Portfolio objectives and the strategic communications program. What we're looking for Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
