Your Opportunity
As an International Engagement Officer, you will:
Provide exceptional and engaging front customer service to international students and other stakeholders. Participate in a range of international student engagement focused activities across the state. This position sits in the Engagement team and reports to the Team Leader, International Engagement and Support. This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 19 January 2026 unless otherwise determined. The position will be based primarily at South Bank Campus; however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility, and Showing Initiative. Collaborate and work cohesively with other business units and students to process international students' enquiries and perform related administrative duties that ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State government requirements. Provide courteous, efficient, and timely face-to-face, phone, and email customer service to international students from arrival in-country and throughout their program of study. Respond promptly and effectively to verbal and written enquiries related to international student applications, enrolments, and other general enquiries. Participate in international student engagement initiatives, including international student orientation, events, and activities. Maintain an understanding of the issues pertinent to international students and communicate with faculty and relevant staff to ensure that international student concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Maintain and provide accurate information to prospective and enrolled students to sell and on-sell TAFE Queensland products and services. Contribute to the achievement of the team by ensuring day-to-day activities align with business operations. Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices, continually seeking improvement in the way in which work is performed. How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

Demonstrates exceptional and responsive customer service including the ability to solve problems and achieve positive outcomes. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and manage own workflow effectively within agreed priorities and timeframes. Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to produce quality written correspondence. Demonstrated proficiency in office administration plus a clear willingness to assist team members in the completion of their work. Desirable Requirements
