Engagement Liaison Officer

Details of the offer

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with the 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for Australia's 870,000+ registered health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered. Why do we need this role? Engaging with our diverse stakeholders to build trust and confidence in us as the national health practitioner regulator is a key priority for Ahpra. In Canberra, the Territory Manager works with senior external and internal stakeholders and we are looking for the right person to support that liaison work. This is a full-time, fixed term role of approximately 12 months, with a combination of office days and work from home – the best of both worlds! Ahpra requires all employees to comply with Ahpra policies, which includes the Flexible working policy. Who are we looking for? Working in the Canberra office, this high volume role within Ahpra's Engagement function is a key intersection between the Ahpra internal stakeholders and the complex Canberra health sector. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in providing local office management, administration support, and secretariat support, with a passion for stakeholder engagement to take on our Engagement Liaison Officer role. You will use your skills in time management, project coordination, facilitation, and engagement to actively develop and maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with the Canberra Territory Manager in this dynamic role. Highly motivated and personable, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to deliver our Ahpra Engagement Strategy, and to understand what our community needs from Ahpra and the National Boards. You embody our values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Achievement, which in turn builds on the trust and credibility you will develop with key stakeholders. This will allow you to provide excellence in service delivery, engage widely, and actively contribute to the positive culture of the Canberra office. This role is yours to own, working with people committed to the protection of the public through empathetic regulation of 16 registered health professions across 15 National Boards. What do we offer? Great work/life balance with hybrid working arrangements — 2 days in the office and 3 at home A friendly and supportive working culture Discounted health insurance Generous provisions for personal leave, annual leave loading, and the ability to purchase additional annual leave Sophisticated open plan workspaces in a 5-star rated building in a central location Attractive salary of $87,173 per annum plus Superannuation To apply Click 'Apply for this job' to submit your application.
