The Opportunity:   Urbis has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to join our Engagement team!
You will get to leverage your strong communication skills and passion for digital communication and the built environment space.
In this role you will play a key part in supporting Urbis' stakeholder engagement and strategy offer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your understanding and appreciation of social context and trends by providing support towards stakeholder and community engagement strategies for major urban development, urban renewal and infrastructure projects.
You will: Support Directors, Associate Directors and Senior Consultants across disciplines of planning, design, heritage, economics and policy to provide specialist advice to our clients on strategic engagement, stakeholder management and community consultation.
Contribute to the development of engagement programs that support strategic and statutory planning, development and infrastructure projects.
Write submissions, proposals and advice that accurately reflects Urbis' client's needs.
Support the facilitation of engagement and sharing of views on urban futures Support \ strategic input to urban planning, place making, policy-informing and community development projects Organise and support the facilitation of focus groups and workshops, collaborative design labs and other activities that promote the involvement of people in shaping the future of their cities.
Contribute to risk management by identifying and raising issues that may impact fee estimates and/or project timeline Promote the firm and its services to create business opportunities, potential partnerships and thought leadership Prepare weekly timesheets and contribute to managing project budgets Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels across urban planning and design, social planning, heritage, economics and policy Learn and be coached by leaders and specialists in engagement and place making.
About you: Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Policy, Arts, Social Science, Business or a related discipline Experience in a similar role at a similar level is desirable Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Strong communication skills Demonstrated reporting writing, researching and data (quantitative & qualitative) skills Demonstrated commercial acumen Strong self-awareness and growth mindset Why Urbis?
