Job no: 0050818Location: Shepparton/ WangarrattaRole type: Part-time (0.6-1 FTE) Full-time; Continuing Faculty: Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health SciencesDepartment/School:Department of Rural HealthSalary: UOM 6 – $96,459 - $104,413 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% superPromote and coordinate rural medical training and career pathways for students and junior doctors in the Goulburn Valley region.Make a difference in the community by enhancing rural health training by connecting medical students and junior doctors with diverse local stakeholders.Salary packaging, subsidised health and wellbeing services, fitness and cultural clubs, Myki discounts, and a 25% discount on graduate courses to our staff and their immediate families!About the RoleThe Engagement and Development Coordinator for the Goulburn Valley Regional Training Hub (GVRTH) will support medical students and junior doctors interested in rural practice, improve rural training environments, and coordinate with local stakeholders to expand training opportunities for GPs and specialists. This role involves promoting rural career pathways in medicine, liaising with health students and trainees, and working closely with health services and community groups to enhance rural health training and professional development in the Goulburn Valley region.Your responsibilities will include:Identification of students and junior doctors with intent to practice rurallyPromoting new educational projects / programs of partner health services and programs in the GV regionPromoting regional/rural and remote education and resource materials to students and junior doctorsDeveloping inter-professional engagement activities, particularly with respect to aiding students and junior health professionals integrate with the local communities in which they are working/studyingWho We Are Looking ForYou will excel in stakeholder management and communication, with strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building relationships and collaborating effectively. Your adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to plan and manage multiple complex tasks under tight timeframes will be essentialYou will also have:Qualification in relevant field (teaching/education, health science, administration or management) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in medical education/teaching setting, and/or education/training.Understanding of issues and challenges of Junior Medical Officer's rolesDemonstrated ability to coordinate the implementation of research projectsA commitment to continuous improvement including the ability to make informed decisions, seek feedback and conduct reviews to achieve high quality outcomes that align with best practiceFor further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
