Engagement and Administration FacilitatorCREATE FoundationJob SummaryThe Engagement and Administration Role in the Adelaide office in South Australia is fixed term, four days a week (30.4 hours) until 21st October 2025. SCHADS Award level 4.1, with Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Options. The start date of this role will be in Late October 2024.CREATE Foundation is the peak consumer body representing the voices of children and young people in the out-of-home care sector to advocate for change to improve the system.Primary PurposeAs the Engagement and Administration Facilitator, you will be essential in connecting with children and young people through various channels, including face-to-face interactions, email, social media, and phone. Your primary goal will be to actively involve them in CREATE Foundation activities and events, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.Key ResponsibilitiesEngaging with the OOHC Sector: Actively promote clubCREATE membership among government agencies, case workers, NGOs, and other stakeholders to recruit new members and update contact details for children and young people.Program Support: Assist in delivering CREATE programs and activities specifically designed for children and young people with care experience.Voice Opportunities: Identify and facilitate opportunities for children and young people to share their perspectives, such as delivering presentations, attending meetings, participating in panels, and joining interview panels.Feedback Collection: Help gather evaluations from participants about CREATE programs and activities.Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, including data collection, answering phones, preparing mail-outs, distributing invitations, and managing RSVPs.The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of child development and trauma, along with a thorough knowledge of the challenges faced by children and young people with care experience. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.Your role will be vital in ensuring that children and young people feel engaged and supported throughout their experiences with CREATE Foundation.Key Result AreasDemonstrated ability to work in a culturally sensitive and inclusive manner and respectfully engage with children and young people in care, including those from all cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.Contribute to a positive organisational culture.Effectively adhere to and facilitate Child Safe Standards, ensuring that a trauma-informed approach to engagement with children and young people is employed.Effectively communicate with children and young people.Accurate recording of data and effective data cleansing and return to senders.Accurate recording of programmatic activity on clubCREATE.Contribute meaningfully to supporting program delivery.Selection CriteriaKey Criteria: (The following requirements must be met to be considered for this role).You MUST address the below Selection Criteria and forward with your Cover Letter and CV/Resume to be considered for this role:Please note: Aptitude testing will be conducted at the interview.Tertiary education qualifications (degree) in Social Science, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, and at least one year's experience in an NGO.Demonstrated ability to work within the National Child Safe Standards, coupled with an in-depth understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people with care experience, and the ability to understand the needs of young people in out-of-home care.Highly developed IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office) and the ability to use databases to capture information accurately.Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills, coupled with confidence in negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem solving, and the ability to act in a professional manner at all times. Ability to communicate effectively with children and young people to provide information and encourage their participation.Operate within a culturally safe framework. Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-cultural context, and the ability to work respectfully with children and young people in care, including those from all cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.Ability to co-facilitate and promote programs and events for children and young people, including workshops and training.Ability to work autonomously and show initiative, coupled with an ability to work as a productive member of a team and maintain a positive culture. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.Successful Security Check per state requirements (for example, Working with Children card / Ochre card) and must comply with Government and/or health directives in each state jurisdiction, and where so indicated, be vaccinated for COVID-19.All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
